How can mental illness be a “modern invention?” Is this not “heresy”? What if “mental illness” as the new buzzword and professional title has more to do with the pharmaceutical industry, billing for psychiatric services, politics and more — than the healing of real people with deep pain?
Do you have some deep pain “locked away” in your emotional closet? Perhaps even a “personal valley of the shadow of death”? No need to face it alone – let Jesus restore your soul as He takes you through it, at your pace, with His love and Presence.
Really, the Great Commandment connects with the ministry of healing prayer? But let’s think again! Our life and ministry flow from our love from and for God the Father. If this relationship is not right, it is a “major block” in our spiritual journey. Healing and transformation become essential in our spiritual growth.
Our belief in Christ — His Presence, His power and more — largely determines our ministry and much of Church life. Could it be that reflecting on our actual belief in Jesus, desiring to grow in this — might be the most important “work” that we do to lessen a bottleneck in our service for the Kingdom of God?
